More about me

Straightforward Language

Counselling language can be difficult to understand, off putting and vague. I make sure my website and my sessions are approachable and free of counselling jargon.

Educational and Informative

Clients want to understand why they think feel and behave they way they do.  Education is part of my job.  Once people understand their "internal programming", it gives them freedom to follow that standard choice or make different ones.

Quick and Flexible Appointments

I offer both face-to-face and virtual sessions. Consultations are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the day and evening.

Testimonials

Matt

I had 20 sessions with Debbie to help with some stress/anxiety related issues. I can confidently highly recommend Debbie based on how much she helped me over those sessions.  I have had therapy in the past which turned out to be a fairly unrewarding experience, but this was completely different and I'm extremely happy with the progress I was able to make with Debbie's help.  Her expertise and generally understanding and caring approach made all the difference.

I went to see Debbie as I was suffering with high anxiety and low self worth. I felt at ease with Debbie straight away and the counselling session setting was relaxing and a safe place to be able to talk openly. Debbie is very professional, compassionate and extremely intuitive, often cutting to the heart of the issue.  I think I expected her to provide me with answers to my problems but instead it transpired that she was a trusted guide along my path. It's like you're are travelling aimlessly along a road and someone gives you a quality map, you still choose your own path but you are clearer about where you are going.

FH - Community Nurse

I am so grateful to Debbie for volunteering her time to support frontline NHS staff during the Covid19 pandemic. I would not have otherwise been able to access counselling so quickly at a time when I really needed some support.  I was so grateful to be able to talk to someone that listened with empathy and without judgement. Debbie also taught me some really useful practical strategies for dealing with the emotional burden of the job so I could continue to support patients, whilst also looking after myself. Many thanks!
